The gods need to feel needed

The poor said yes! Liam read the letter left on his office desk: His housing development would be endorsed.  Advocates for the poor - the people he’d long tried to help - had harassed him at every turn. Objections had been filed every day. And now, at last, the “protectors” of the poor said yes! Liam created his development project to help the needy. They couldn’t always see what they needed to lift themselves out of poverty, but Liam had studied them at uni. He would build an institution where they would be free to improve their lot. At this very moment, he was literally steamrolling the old posh neighborhood to build homes for the people who needed him.
