A Tale of Revenge: Part Two

 

The shadows came first, the voices came next.

Several nights in and the man was sure he was hexed.

 

“A person like you has no need for this place.”

She hissed as she kissed the side of his face.

 

The Nightmare invaded every corner of his mind.

They all will find out he’s doing his job blind.

 

“You couldn’t compete, your work is a laugh.  You’d look so much better being torn into half.”

 

The man ran far, as fast as he could. There was something not right, but no one understood.

 

The once proud man fell to his knee and now the monster’s torment of him will continue in “A Tale of Revenge: Part Three”.

  There once was a man, who thought he was grand.  His better came along to help him understand.  Riding on coat tails only gets you so far.  Before you’re freeloading ways meet their eventual bar.  “You thought you were smart, stealing my work.  Then I found out.” She said with a smirk.  “You’ve clearly no honor; you’ve clearly no class. Your dreams of infamy and stardom are now shattered like glass.” The man was shocked. A social punch course is the intermission of a proper meal. A well-made punch possesses enough propriety to balance out the guests’ loosening morals and enough sweetness for their bitter tongues. The course should last just long enough to entice guests to stay after for a coffee and brandy. “She asked for you, specifically.” Liam was gleefully - insistently - skipping up Her front steps, grasping the hand of some old mate from the rowing team. Liam grinned and pressed his friend’s hand on the bell-pull. “Don’t mind the help. They’re dreadful. But She is going to love your work on the future of shipping logistics. She’s very interested.” Liam paused on his way back to his car. “You’ll tell me if She mentions me, yeah mate?” Liam did not expect an answer from... He’d already forgotten his name.
